Before you can officially apply at the European Flight Academy, you need to take the first selection step: the DLR test. You will take this test directly at the location of our partner Deutsches Luft- und Raumfahrtzentrum (DLR, German Aerospace Center). The test is a computer-aided procedure for determining suitability in which various skills of yours will be examined. Subsequently, the DLR will issue a certificate to you setting out a rating in various areas of competence. You will need to achieve a certain rating in order to apply at EFA. You can find the exact requirements here. For more information on the DLR test procedure, please visit the DLR website.
Currently, you can take the DLR test on site either in Hamburg, Germany, or in Zurich, Switzerland. You can decide flexibly when you are ready for this day because you can select a date that suits you and book your appointment for your DLR test directly via this site. Since this certificate represents the basis for the general suitability for a job in the cockpit, this step is deliberately implemented independently of the European Flight Academy. The costs for this test are an investment in your future as a pilot; as such, you will have to cover these costs yourself.
