USE ALL OPPORTUNITIES YOU GET

Your cockpit job is our goal

OVERVIEW OF OUR SERVICES AT THE EFA CAMPUS

The EFA campus accompanies you during your training and supports you even before you graduate in finding you a cockpit job as quickly as possible, either within Lufthansa Group or outside it. In doing so we match your wishes and requirements to available spots and connect you with your future employer.

Before an airline can hire you, it will want to get to know you personally and will conduct at least one interview with you in the context of an “airline fit” before you can sign an employment agreement.

At times it may take a while for spots to become available due do fluctuations in demand. Should this be the case, we are happy to consult with you and determine how to put the time you have to best use. During these transitional phases we stay in close contact with you. It is also important to note that Bremen City University of Applied Sciences now offers the opportunity of having the ATP training credited also towards other courses of study besides the well-established, non-dual Bachelor of Aviation Systems Engineering and Management program (ILST). This means that a course of study can be a good choice, either after completion of the training or also parallel to the job.

We also cooperate with selected airlines outside LHG and will support you in this direction, as well.

We developed an online tool that supports our alumni in their search for a cockpit job: the Campus Plus Portal. As (future) alumni of our flight school you can submit to the portal your qualifications, desired airline(s), possible entrance dates, as well as your application documents, and you will be actively informed of any cockpit jobs that will be advertised. The next step that follows is the airline fit.

In case it does not work out right away with a cockpit job, we will be by your side and support you with guidance and advice until you have found your cockpit job.

Lufthansa Group is Europe’s largest airline group. The pilot training at the European Flight Academy offers the best chance at a seat in the cockpit of a Lufthansa Group airline.

We closely coordinate with the planning departments of a large number of airlines and you will be the first to be considered for the cockpit jobs that open up within Lufthansa Group.

You are also sought-after candidates for cockpit jobs with airlines outside Lufthansa Group. We are in close contact with a number of selected airlines and will support you if you would like to be placed with other airline partners.

Some subjects taught during the pilot training will also be relevant for other courses of study. Within the framework of our close collaboration with Bremen City University of Applied Sciences, about 20% to 25% of the required credits can be credited to a course of study after successful completion of the ATP training at EFA (exact number of credits recognized depends on the respective course of study). A course of study subsequent to your training is sensible when you can picture yourself in an academic profession in addition to performing the job of a pilot. Depending on the employer, it might also be possible to combine both careers.

You can find an overview of the courses of study that you can combine with the pilot training here:
