European Flight Academy – The Flight Academy Campus Offering New Perspectives

OUR GOALS: QUALITY IN TRAINING AND THE BEST JOB PROSPECTS POSSIBLE

The flight school for challenging cockpit jobs

PILOT TRAINING AB INITIO WITH HIGH PRACTICAL RELEVANCE

The job of a pilot still fascinates a lot of people, and to many of them it is a dream job.

We accessed our treasure trove of more than 60 years of flight-academy training experience for Lufthansa and SWISS as well as our practical airline relevance in devising a new concept that is aimed at making us less affected by fluctuations of the market, thus offering our student pilots more stability in training.

As an ab-initio flight school we offer the possibility of priority access to the Lufthansa Group cockpits – without full ready-entry assessment in the airlines’ recruitment process that follows later.

What our training stands for

These are the distinguishing features of the new EFA

Focus on top-quality training

  • High training standards implemented by experienced teachers from both theoretical and practical airline backgrounds
  • Modern, as-new, and standardized fleet of training aircraft
  • Flight simulator trainings / MCC phase on top-quality LAT simulators

Stability of training

  • Training of a limited number of student pilots, unaffected by fluctuations in demand
  • High standards for the selection process lead to a very high success rate for pilot training

Campus concept for best possible placement measures

  • Priority consideration for EFA alumni in allocating cockpit jobs to new pilots within the Lufthansa Group
  • Campus model allows for entry into all airlines of the Lufthansa Group
  • Cooperation and support with the placement of alumni also with airlines outside of the Lufthansa Group
  • Career assistance and consultation also after graduation

Sustainability as the guiding principle for the flight-school concept

  • Training of our future pilots also on the topic of “sustainable flying” right from the start
  • Carbon-neutral design of the entire training through a combination of CO2 avoidance and carbon offset
  • In the medium term further reduction of CO2 emissions through other technical and procedural adjustments
