The most important at a glance

This is how you become a pilot

Pilot training involves a great deal of practice in addition to in-depth technical and theoretical knowledge. In simulators, in single-engine and twin-engine training aircraft, you will learn to fly until you are able to take off with the large passenger aircraft. On this page, we have compiled an overview of the prerequisites you need to meet in order to become a pilot, how your application will progress to the cockpit, and what your prospects are as a pilot in the Lufthansa Group.

What do I have to bring to the table to become a pilot

The job of a pilot is like no other. That is why, in the selection process, we will thoroughly check whether or not you are up to meet all of the requirements now and in the future. Don't be afraid – the process will also let you know whether you will be happy in your future job. Before taking the first selection step, the DLR test, please check here if you meet all fundamental requirements for applying at EFA:
