Your Flying Future

Cost & Financing

You surely have asked yourself what the pilot training at the European Flight Academy costs and how can you afford it? Investing in a training let your dream job come true is an investment in your own future. Through an attractive deferment of payment, several payment and funding opportunities, it is a dream you can afford more easily

Have you heard of European Flight Academy’s Career Funding?

Our Career Funding program, European Flight Academy’s interest-free repayment model, means you merely need to cover the cost of living during your training and not worry about the training cost itself. Once you have completed your training and are working as a pilot at a Lufthansa Group Airline you begin repaying your share of the training cost in interest-free installments of 5, 10 or 15% of your monthly salary.

During the

training

You do not pay for the training and need only cover the cost of living. You are required to pay a one-time administrative fee of €3,000 at the beginning of your training.

After the

training

You repay your share of the training cost (€90,000) in interest-free monthly installments of 5, 10 or 15% of your gross salary.

In the course

of your career

You have the option of reducing the time-frame for repayment by making extraordinary payments in addition to the monthly installments.

Sharing the cost: the Lufthansa Group pays for a significant portion of the pilot training.

The cost of training future pilots at European Flight Academy is significantly higher than what our trainees contribute. We offer top quality training courses at standards well above legally required standards and see a future first officer at the Lufthansa Group in every one of our student pilots. We thus make a major investment in each one of our talents and cover a significant portion of the training cost. The remaining share each pilot student contributes can easily be financed in the Career Funding program and then repaid in monthly installments once you receive a salary as an LH Group pilot.

You have two options:

Career Funding

You take advantage of EFA’s interest-free financing model and repay the training cost in monthly installments of 5, 10 or 15% of your gross salary as a Lufthansa Group pilot. For example, with a monthly salary of €5,000 and a percentage of 10%, you would repay your share of the cost in 15 years.

Up-front payment with a discount

You pay your share of the training cost (€90,000) up front prior to the beginning of training. In this case, you receive a discount of 2.5% deducted from the payable amount.
