Live the dream: become a pilot

Your Flying Future

CUrrent Situation

The serious, dynamically changing developments and the unclear long-term effects of the corona pandemic have led us to put preventive measures in place at our pilot school and all other training facilities. We have thus decided to place our training activities on hold until at least April 30th.

The selection procedure for future student pilots at EFA has also been placed on hold. The Basic Qualification ("Berufsgrunduntersuchung") and Group Qualification will also not take place until at least April 30th. It is still possible to apply to our academy. Please expect delays in the entire process of selection, training and job placement.

We continue to monitor and evaluate the overall health, business and social situation to be able to adapt our measures at any time. Please do get in touch with us via email or on the hotline if you have any questions. We thank you for your understanding in this difficult situation. Stay healthy!

Still have questions?

How long does the pilot training take? How high are the fees? And do I actually need to be very athletic? Here you find all you need to know on pilot training.

How can I pay for my living costs? Is it possible to have a job alongside the pilot training?

Our pilot training is designed to be a full-time activity. Successfully completing it depends on a high level of focus. We thus do not recommend taking on any additional employment during the training. Should you need assistance in covering the cost of living, it may be possible for you to apply for government assistance under the German BAföG program.
