Lessons in theory: in Bremen or Zurich

The main phases of your pilot training generally take place at the European Flight Academy’s own locations.

Single-engine-piston flying phase:

Single-engine flying phase: at our partner flight school UAA (United Aviate Academy) in Goodyear, USA.

The student pilots in Switzerland complete preparatory simulator and flight training in Grenchen, Switzerland, and will continue with the single-engine runway phase for another 70 or so flying lessons over a 5-months practical period in Goodyear, USA.

MCC Phase

ABOUT OUR PARTNER LOCATION IN GOODYEAR, USA

Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) will conduct one of the practical training phases (single-engine phase) in cooperation with United Aviate Academy (UAA) at the tradition-rich flight-school campus in Goodyear (Arizona, USA). This training phase, as well, is oriented by the highest standards of quality, which is why state-of-the-art airplanes of the Cirrus SR20 type will be used. Additionally, the Upset Prevention and Recovery Training will take place at the Goodyear location and will be led by flight instructors who have been specifically trained for it.

The United Aviate Academy (UAA) is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines that trains future pilots for United Airlines and that has been cooperating with LAT in the field of pilot training since the close of 2021.
